Katrina Herron, PT, DPT, CLT
Owner, Physical Therapist
Katrina Herron is a certified lymphedema specialist and has a certification in the application of dry needling. She is also pursuing additional training in Functional Capacity Evaluations. She and her husband, Chuck, partnered to found On the Mend Physical Therapy where she still treats patients today. Her expertise and hard work as a physical therapist has helped On the Mend expand, and it continues to grow. In addition to their professional endeavors, they have four beautiful children (two boys and two girls) and a dog. They are actively involved in multiple sports with their kids, and Katrina enjoys hiking in her off time. She has lived in California and Colorado, but has always found her way home to Arizona, a place she’s glad to be.
Chuck Herron, MS, ED
As a past athlete, Chuck personally saw how PT and OT helped athletes stay on the field, and now he watches as On the Mend keeps patients on the field of life every single day. Motivated by the desire to make sure that the residents of Mesa are able to keep hiking, swimming, and playing with their children, Chuck strives for excellence. The patients who don’t depend on others and are able to continue doing the things they love are his reward.
As the CEO of On the Mend, he’s always striving to find ways to improve his business, working hard to continue delivering outstanding services and outcomes. As a father of four, he and his wife, Katrina, stay busy every weekend with multiple youth sports leagues, hiking, and camping in the area.
Cathy Best, OTR/L, CHT
Partner, VP of Operations and VP of Administration
Cathy Best is an Occupational Therapist and has been a Certified Hand Therapist since 2012. She has worked with a variety of patients, from children to adults, helping them with their orthopedic and neurological problems. Her focus has been outpatient therapy for adults with neck, hand, and upper extremity injuries. She has extensive experience with both non-surgical and post-surgical injuries, and is also skilled in custom splinting. Most recently she shifted her focus to Operations and Administration for On the Mend Physical Therapy, however, she still often consults on UE injuries, and treats patients when she’s needed. In her free time, she loves to go hiking in the Mesa area or Sedona. She loves to spend time with her husband and two dogs, socialize with her friends and neighbors, read books, and travel.
Ashley Fedie, PT, DPT
Ashley Fedie was born and raised in Chanhassen, Minnesota. She played basketball and ran track in high school, taking her propensity for running to the University of North Dakota, where she received both her undergraduate and doctorate degrees. She has a special interest in orthopedic sports therapy as well as women’s health. With her free time, she enjoys everything from wakeboarding to playing the piano, including hiking and finding new places to eat. She loves all the sunshine that Arizona has to offer, and likes doing just about anything outdoors.
Hannah Bleichfeld, PT, DPT
Hannah Bleichfeld is originally from Buffalo, NY, where she graduated from school and moved out to Arizona to work with On the Mend. She has been working as a PT for three and a half years, and enjoys working in an outpatient setting more than any other. She loves learning about her craft, and will soon undergo a yearlong fellowship program in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy to further improve her skills. In her free time she enjoys exercising, reading, spending time with her family and friends, and cooking.
Katie Blatter Etukeren, PT, DPT, Cert DN
Physical Therapist, Clinical Internship Coordinator
Katie Blatter Etukeren is a Colorado native who graduated from the Regis University physical therapy program in Denver, and has been braving the Arizona heat since 2014. As part of On the Mend, she’s had the privilege of both working with patients and coordinating the students that complete internships with the company. She enjoys working with patients of all ages and conditions, but has been mostly focusing on dry needling, vestibular rehabilitation, lymphedema management, and geriatrics recently. More than anything, Katie appreciates the patient-centric therapy that On the Mend encourages, and loves helping her patients achieve the goals that matter to them. She understands the importance of being able to walk around the community, play with kids and grandkids, and experience less pain daily, so she focuses on these personal goals in addition to the usual strength and motion goals. Katie is recently married and has been enjoying both settling into married life and traveling with her husband.
Vince Gonzales, PTA, CLT
Director of the West Mesa Clinic
Vince is a Arizona Native graduating from Westwood High School and completing his formal education as a PTA at Pima Community College. He has extensive training in spine and is also a Certified Lymphedema Therapist. He and his wife have 3 children. When not providing excellent care at On the Mend, Vince enjoys coaching his children in baseball and flag football and spending time with his family.
